It was a historic plantation-style mansion with a beautiful front porch
and equally stunning interior.
Jason and I also admired the landscaping as we are looking for ideas for our own overhaul currently going on in our yard.
We purposely kept our weekend open with no scheduled plans, other than our dinner reservations, to leave plenty of time for resting, uninterrupted conversation and long drives to enjoy the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains.
One stop we made that I have to share with anyone visiting Asheville is the French Broad Chocolate Lounge! There are several highly rated chocolate boutiques in Asheville, but this place was amazing! They had delicious cappuccino (made from Counter Culture coffee just like Jubala for you Raleigh folks) and any variety of chocolate dessert you can image. Great atmosphere, locally owned and a most stop for any chocolate lover!
