Gavin's big day fell on a Sunday, so we invited Jason's parents to church then over for lunch and cake to celebrate with us.
Our little guy was excited to get his hands on the cake!
Gavin was not impressed with the idea of posing for any more photos, but we were happy to get this shot with Jason's parents. Gavin is their 10th grandchild!
Later that week, we scheduled a party at a local play room to celebrate Gavin's birthday with some friends and family. My Dad came up to go to the party with us.
This was the best shot we could manage for this little guy on the go. Unfortunately, we had a blast of winter weather come through on the original night of his party so we had to postpone for later in the week.
The weather finally cleared and we were able to have the party on Thursday afternoon. This party room was packed with at least 25 friends (plus parents) to celebrate our little guy's special day.
A sweet group of children coming to share our special moment - and enjoy some cupcakes. It's hard to believe all these children come from only 8 families, plus there are two babies not in the picture! We are truly blessed to have such wonderful people in our lives.
Everyone patiently waited while we sang happy birthday.
Then it was time to DIG IN!
