When the cat's away...

Here is what happens in the Burgin home when you combine a 2 year old with a box of markers and a mother who is preoccupied with preparing for an 8 night road trip...

We are headed out this evening for 8 nights in Southern Germany and Western Austria.  Some of the places Jason and I saw nearly 9 years ago when we visited a friend who was living in Munich and some of the places are new to all of us.  We are anxiously anticipating exploring century old castles, cruising down the Rhine River, climbing the heights of mountains (on a funicular), and simply enjoying some much needed family time.  Hopefully, the advertised internet service at the hotels will work and we can update the blog during our trip.
