For his birthday, we invited several of his friends from school and our neighborhood. It was our first party that included children who didn't speak English. It was amazing to see how well Ethan could communicate with his French speaking friends.
With ten elementary kids at the birthday party, we were thankful for another sunny afternoon so we could spend most of our time outside. We came in briefly to enjoy cake, ice cream and presents.
Then this was the reaction of the kids when we told them we would play with waterballoons!
Very soon the game turned into a competition to see who could actually POP a balloon!
Ethan's actual birthday was Wednesday, so we woke up early and opened presents before school. He enjoyed a special day with cupcakes at school and dinner with some friends.
Ethan was able to play the Wii on a school night...
and create a mountain high banana split!
Happy Birthday, Ethan! We can't wait to see what God has instore for your future. We are thankful for the life and joy you bring to our family.
