We had a fabulous time in Disney! By far one of our best family trips, yet. It was liberating traveling and preparing for the parks each day with out a thought of diapers, formula, sippy cups and nap time. We all truly enjoyed ourselves and here is a recap of our six straight days of Disney fun.
The weather was spectacular and the kids enjoyed a swim in the heated pool on our first evening. We enjoyed staying with Jason's brother and family the first three nights before moving into a condo within the same community.
On Sunday, we enjoyed a beautiful sunny day at Epcot.
We met Mickey, Minnie and lots of other Disney friends. Then, Jason's brother and wife gave us a special treat by watching the kids in the evening so Jason and I went back and enjoyed the lights and fireworks show over the lake at Epcot.
On Monday we took off early to the Magic Kingdom!
We made the most of the shorter lines early in the morning and rode lots of rides.
The kids all enjoyed the carousel and Jenna even joined us on Space Mountain this year!
By mid-afternoon, we were ready to head back for a swim at the house. On our way out of the park, we stopped so the girls could meet the princesses.
Our precious Jenna is still excited to meet the beautiful princesses.
but by the end, he was talking Belle's ear off about Star Wars!
Perfect view on a beautiful night!
Tuesday was our last full day with Jason's brother and family. We spent a majority of the day together at Hollywood Studios. The highlights of the day were the kids participating in Jedi training and fighting Darth Vader, the Toy Story Mania ride and Jenna riding with us on the Aerosmith roller coaster!
Jedi training was probably one of the kids favorites of the whole trip. They trained for ~10 minutes and then each child was given the chance to fight Darth Vader. He was HUGE and completely intimidating, but all our kids did an excellent job of fighting the lord of the Dark Side!
Jenna isn't afraid to put Vader in his place!
Ethan showed him who was boss.
Our Drew is a HUGE Toy Story fan, so he was ecstatic to meet Buzz and Woody.
Wednesday brought temps in the mid-80's and a return to the Magic Kingdom. The day was highlighted by full family participation on Splash Mountain! Drew cleared the height requirement by ~ 1/8 inch and he was so brave going down all the hills.
At this point, he had no idea what was in store!
We met up with Jason's brother and family for a ride around Tom Sawyer Island on the Steam Boat. For those readers who don't know, Jason has a twin brother, so see if you can tell which one is Jason :)
The rest of the day was filled with more rides. Some of us truly enjoying the experience...
and some not quite so sure! Drew was hanging on for dear life on the Tea Cups.
Thursday we made it to the last of the four parks, Animal Kingdom. It's a lot like a zoo with some rides and a few Disney shows thrown in.
We did some bird watching, saw some adorable gorillas and went on a safari where the giraffe was only a few yards away from our truck.
Jason took the kids on this ride while I ran to get some Fast Passes.
I love the dichotomy of emotions in this picture! Jenna is obviously enjoying the thrills while Ethan is literally hanging on for dear life!
Thursday night was wrapped up by a wonderful dinner with our former college pastor who is now serving at a church only 45 minutes from Orlando. Scott and Tina were such a blessing during our dating and early marriage. It was a such a special part of the week to catch up with them for a few hours.
On Friday, our sixth straight day of all things Mickey Mouse, we decided to take it easy, went out to breakfast and headed to the parks mid-afternoon to stay through the evening fireworks.
Here we are on Main Street, USA saving our spot for the firework show.
It was a grand finale to the perfect family vacation.

I loved all your pictures! What a wonderful vacation! We did this 4 yrs. ago w/G. & her family, & we followed much the same schedule as you did. We had trouble getting her hubby to just hang out at the house the one day we went in late so we could stay late that night (he's an AM person!) But we prepped him from the beginning that we would do that one day. The other days we were there before the park opened & had front row parking.
Amazing that your kids would go on all the rides! I can't do a lot of them (get sick!) so I stayed behind with the one/ones who didn't want to do them all.
Glad you had this great opportunity & made memories for a lifetime!
