Three months!

It is hard to believe our little guy turned 3 months old on April 19th!  In some ways, it feels like yesterday that I was still pregnant and in other ways it seems like Gavin has always been a part of our family.

Here's a little run down of how it's been around here:

~ Gavin is still working on this whole idea of sleeping.  We had a week or so where he was sleeping 7-8 solid hours, but the last few weeks we've been back to 5 or 6 and that has been rough!  I ordered two large sized swaddle blankets and I'm hoping he'll start stretching out again this week.

~  He eats like a champ and always seems ready for more food.  I think he will be ready for cereal and table food very soon.  I'm trying to hold out until his 4 months visit as they say that is best for lower the chance of food allergies, etc.

~  He has started swinging at his toys on the baby gym with his arms and likes to smile at all the animal faces on the toys.

~  He LOVES having his sister and brothers talk to him and play with him.  His face totally lights up and he is all smiles.

~  He now weighs over 16 pounds  and is approximately 26 inches!  I think he grew 1.75 inches and gained 5 pounds in a month!

This was taken a couple weeks ago and it's amazing to see
how much he's already changed!
Clearly not quite a fan of the Bumbo, yet!
All four of our hooligans together!  They LOVE their baby brother.
As for the rest of the family, we are all continuing to adjust.  The last few weeks have been much more productive and we are getting more school work accomplished.  We have about 3 weeks left with our co-op  which will complete a majority of our school work for the year.  We'll probably keep working on math and a few other things over the summer, but it will be very relaxed.  I'm looking forward to just enjoying time with our four wonderful blessings and making some great memories.

We're in full swing with baseball as both Ethan and Drew are playing this year.  Ethan's team has really come along and we like his couch.  He expects a lot from the kids but remains positive throughout the games.  Jason is helping coach Drew's team and they are both enjoying that.

Drew and his good friend, Braden, discussing their game strategy..
or more likely, trying to determine what they want from
the concession stand!

These kids are growing up way too fast!  We are looking forward to trying to slow down a bit this summer and enjoy some quality family time.
